Better do it before 3.2 goes live; I believe there are changes that force you to queue for WG, and then you get teleported in with the game begins.

Also, you might be at a slight advantage for being alliance (starting from the east instead of the west could be a handicap given that respawns go to the eastern side of the fortress) but even just taking out the turrets from the inside should provide a significant advantage.
